Business Development Director

Populus Recruitment Solutions is working closely with one of the largest security services providers in the UK to recruit a Business Development Director to join their Fire & Security division. The Business Development Director will develop and implement a programme of activity to identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and potential customers, build pipeline and close sales, improving awareness of of our clients Fire & Security solutions capabilities. What you will do: * To maximise opportunities for new business and to lead the business development process and negotiations with the customer/ client in order to win profitable contracts. * To source, lead and manage UK new business development opportunities for single service lines * To support wider Mitie divisions as a single service “subject matter expert” providing commercial intelligence * To achieve agreed financial targets Person Specification * Proven experience of working successfully in a fire & security environment * Experience of managing and participating in project teams that work, adopting project management disciplines * Proven experience of delivery strong consistent win rations against target * Highly numerate with the ability to understand commercial negotiations * A commercial thinker with the ability to understand and guide commercial negotiations * In-depth experience of devising fire & security solutions for a variety of organisation types * Good interpersonal skills, influence and impact, working with others * Senior sales role in similar industry setting * Proven experience of delivery strong consistent win rations against target * A strong quality orientation and commitment to continuous improvement * An influential and persuasive communicator, with a high standard of written and verbal communication skills * A clear and strategic thinker, able to offer new and innovative solutions. * Must be able to write compelling proposals, bid answers and supporting documentation * Must be able to put together costings for projects using Excel Please click "apply now" with an up to date copy of your CV
